To be honest, Evan Rachel Wood's only stood out to me before as that girl who used to date Marilyn Manson. Part of her problem was that like a ton of other actresses, the "True Blood" star sported shoulder-length (or sometimes longer) locks. Even an occasional color change or two didn't really differentiate her. But with Evan Rachel Wood new 'do, all of that's changed!

Wood wowed at the "True Blood" Season 4 premiere at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood on Tuesday. The 23-year-old showed off a freshly cropped cut. (A gray vest and pants by Dolce & Gabbana, red suspenders, and Jimmy Choo heels completed the look ... but that's a whole other discussion.)

"I'm constantly changing, I'm constantly growing," the actress told E! recently. "I think I'm a little controversial ... I just try and keep some mystery, so hopefully people can't really put their finger on it." Um, they certainly can't now! (S)

Alyssa Campanella Wins Miss USA 2011

Alyssa Campanella, A 21-year-old auburn-haired California model won the Miss USA 2011 crown Sunday night and will represent the nation in this year's Miss Universe pageant.

Alyssa Campanella of Los Angeles topped a field of 51 beauty queens to take the title at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. She strutted across the stage in a blue bikini with white polka dots and a dark turquoise Sherri Hill evening gown with beading on its top.

She also answered a question about legalizing marijuana by saying she didn't think it should be fully legalized as a solution to help ailing economies.

Alyssa Campanella told reporters in a news conference after the pageant that the win validated her decision to quickly move to Los Angeles from New Jersey after losing an apartment.

"The downs happen for a reason," she said. "The path that I'm on now is the path that's been meant to be."

Campanella, a former Miss Teen USA runner-up from 2007, when she represented New Jersey, said she has been competing in pageants since Alyssa Campanella was 15 because of her mom.

Originally from Manalapan, N.J., Alyssa Campanella began modeling at age 16, graduated from high school a year early and received a scholarship to the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, according to her personal website.

Miss Tennessee Ashley Durham was the first runner-up, while contestants from Alabama and Texas placed third and fourth.

After tonight, the next Miss USA will likely face more questions about her beauty secrets than whether she's tied to a terrorist organization.

That's because the reign of Rima Fakih, the current title holder and first Muslim-American to wear the crown, will end when a panel of judges selects her successor at the 2011 Miss USA Pageant in Las Vegas.

During her tenure, Rima Fakih, 25, who was born in Lebanon, repeatedly faced questions about her ethnic and religious identity. That included responding to unfounded rumors circulating over the Internet that she had family connections to Hezbollah, a Lebanese Shiite group that the U.S. designates as a terrorist organization.

Fakih flatly denied the allegation, calling it the product of a blogger who had made it up "out of her prejudiced mind."

"I'd like to say I'm American first, and I am an Arab-American," Rima Fakih said. "I am Lebanese-American, and I am Muslim-American."

Fakih not only stood up for herself, she lent moral and vocal support to another Muslim beauty contestant, Great Britain's Shanna Bukhari who received a death threat because of her stated goal to represent her country at the Miss Universe pageant.

"Be fearless, be proud of who you are and no matter what anyone tells you by using religion as a tool against you, don't let that affect you," said Fakih, who sent Bukhari a charm bracelet to show her support.

Not all of the pesky questions posed to Rima Fakih were about religion, however. There were those pictures of her standing next to a stripper's pole circulating around the Internet that Fakih had to explain.

Those were taken during a radio station competition in which no clothes were removed, Rima Fakih said.

In an interview with People, Amanda Bynes opens up about her sometimes TMI tweets. She tells the magazine, "I believe in no regrets. You say what you feel because you felt it at the moment."

Amanda Bynes continues, "It's sort of like what I would tell a reporter if I were doing an interview. You kind of have to let people know a little bit about you. And once you've been in the business for a long time, people kind of know stuff about your life."

With over 73,000 followers reading her tweets, Amanda Bynes says she tries (and fails) to keep things professional. "I don't tell anybody anything too personal, but I say stuff I would say in an interview."

Fret not, Amanda Bynes followers. The actress, who retired and promptly unretired a year ago, says, "I don't like talking about [dating], but when I'm getting married, I'll be open about that."

Gay Husbands Become an Inspiration in Fran Drescher New TV Show

Fran Drescher didn't have to look far for inspiration for her new TV Land show Happily Divorced, which premieres June 15. The sitcom, about a woman whose husband turns out to be gay, is actually based on her own experience.

After her marriage of 21 years ended, Fran Drescher's husband, Peter Marc Jacobson, came out of the closet.

"He had already been living a gay life away from me after we divorced, and he said, 'I don't want you to be shocked. I'm dating men,' " she said.

The revelation didn't entirely surprise Fran Drescher. "During our marriage he had told me he might be bisexual, but he wanted to stay married," she says. "By the time he told me, I had survived uterine cancer. Nothing could shake me."

Over the years, the two of them have rebuilt their relationship as friends. "It's great that we had the ability and the wisdom to reinvent our relationship. All those years weren't for nothing," Fran Drescher says. "We're very tight. We're best friends."

Mary Kate, the younger (by 1 minute) than Ashley Olsen of the star duo, has often been the subject of negative media-hype, but the most recent rumor that is floating around the tabloid information highway has the 25 year old romantically linked with rapper Kanye West.

According to reports, the unlikely pair (Olsen and West) were sighted smooching at Kanye’s 34th birthday bash in NYC in the early hours of Thursday morning.
