Is Gomez outgrowing her wholesome image? The Disney darling got her start on “Barney & Friends,” and had a recurring role on “Hannah Montana.” Her career took off with her starring role on “Wizards of Waverly Place,” and the media dubbed her the next Miley Cyrus. But recent paparazzi shots of her straddling and kissing boyfriend Justin Bieber, and, well, the ensemble above, make us wonder if she's—in the words of Vince Vaughn in "Swingers"—all growns up
Taylor Momsen, 18
Momsen started her acting career as innocent little Cindy Lou in “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” At 14, she signed to IMG Models and landed a gig as the willful Jenny Humphrey on “Gossip Girl,” a role she was phased out of, allegedly due to bad behavior on the set. These days, the precocious star spends her time touring the world with her band, Pretty Reckless, and doing her best very-grown-up Courtney Love impression (see above).
Frances Bean Cobain, 18
Speaking of Courtney Love, remember her daughter with Kurt Cobain? Recent magazine pics show her in full rock-star mode with jet-black hair, an array of tattoos and tattered lingerie. Hard for us to believe Frances is a full-fledged woman—we remember when she was just a babe in Kurt's arms.
Demi Lovato, 18
Lovato recently confessed she struggled with bullying, eating disorders, cutting, and suicidal thoughts for much of her life. That’s a lot to deal with in 18 years — and it's no wonder the teen looks older than she really is.
Miranda Cosgrove, 18
This singer/actress was discovered at just three years old, landing national commercials and a role in “School of Rock.” And, as the star of “iCarly” Cosgrove is probably responsible for your child’s internet obsession. After a year on air, “iCarly” became the most-viewed cable entertainment show, and in 2010, Cosgrove became the second highest paid child star—earning $180,000 an episode.. So basically, regardless of the short red dress, heavy makeup and sky-high heels, this girl looks like an adult because she’s already a powerhouse.
